Few people outside the medical community realize how much a doctor learns from his patients. Take my relationship with George Butterfield, the co-founder of the Butterfield & Robinson travel company, which operates bike and walking tours in countries across the world. He’s a patient I’ve been seeing for years, and someone I admire for his vitality and health philosophy. Today, at the age of 74, he’s one of those people who has figured it out—how to live a long, healthy and, perhaps most importantly, a happy life.
